The ending

Alright,

Well now that we have a general idea of the plot it might be good to start thinking about the ending. I mean, what happens? Everybody dies, or the government starts using nuclear weapons, or the zombies realize they all turn back to being normal after they turn 18 or ... I don't know. We have to find something good, a ... well ... a "twist in the tail" as my very boring and weird english teacher would say ...

Yeah we definitely need to think about the ending. There are probably 4 possible avenues we can go down:

1) Good guys win. YAY!!! ......
2) Zombies win! ARRRGGGHH!
3) Someone else wins. Wtf
4) Completely inconclusive.

What do you think?

Well, yeah ... it'll have to be one of them ... but which one ... I mean ... I think that we should let the zombies win, because in this story the good guys are the government and the people who think that all videos on youtube suck, and I quote "We are not all chriskroker's!".

I'll put up a poll in the poll thread and we'll see what everyone thinks about an ending ...

I would like to see an inconclusive ending.
Although I'd love to see a few nuclear explosives fly overhead of the main character, from a low-camera angle looking up as the weapon sweeps past....
However, I dont think that in real life if there was a zombie outbreak it would just be "over".
I think thered be a lot of outbreaks in the world even after the "main" outbreak, so Id just leave it at a very peculiar situation, like in diary of the dead.

IT's be cool to just have like, as a last video just someone making a video saying how everyone is dead, like the person doesn't know what to do and everything and all of a sudden something comes from behind and then just darkness. It would leave the audience with the idea that it's not over yet, but as good as ... except if they start watching our videos!! lol

Lots of explosives would be cool....blowing em up and stuff....but i dont know about the ending too much...i think that it should be somwhat of a "hanger" if ya know wat i mean....just in case some one later desides to do a second movie...so ya...

I think the ending should be more like the Cloverfield ending. It just ends. Like no spectacular big climax, just say zombies jumping at the cam nd the cam just runs out of batterys, that kind of thing.

Nice. Always leave room for a sequel

I like the idea of it being a bit inconclusive to be honest, then people can take what they want away from it.

I love that. I can totally see the scene too. It would either be a really minor character or just some random extra, but theyre talking to webcam, making the last of the 'zombie vlogs' (though they don't know it yet) and theyre scared and alone and theyre in, say, their bedroom. talking about how the zombies have wiped out the entire city, none of the vloggers are active, no one knows whats going to happen, and then all of a sudden you see this hand on the back of the chair, but the vlogger keeps talking to the camera and then before they see it coming.. the zombie eats them!!! zombies win!!! horrah!

this is going to be the hardest part to decide on... but I think we are all agreed that we don;t want someone waking up and saying:

"Thank God it was all a dream!"

...

...or do we?

this might have been said already but it would be cool if it shot forward a few years to the very little survivors and like even hundreds of years later the zombies have yet to be wiped out and like a mock discovery channel/news broadcast is talking about the aftermath of the previous zombie attack and like warnings of another one coming..

I really do think that the ending should be kind of like ... "our" thing. So as to creat something that's really new. We should try to come up with our own ideas.

I really like the idea of like a last survivor making a vlog on YouTube saying how it's all empty, no one is left. And then we see that no one is watching YouTube anymore ... coz everyone is DEAD ... MWAHAHAHAHA

The endings I prefer are hte ones that offend my sense of justice. The sort of 'it can't end like that', in this case maybe everybody dies is a bit too cliche.

If the various countries were to survive a civil war against the remmants of ruling authority would be good. Humanity survives one crisis only to take their bitterness on each other again.

This would imply that the government had failed to act competent manner, so not too hard to picture. Remember the ruling party in the UK were voted out of office in the very first general election after the Second World War, in one of the biggest land slide victories of all time. So there would be a factual basis for this.

A less pessimitic ending for me would be the 'life just goes on'. The trees will still grow, the animals will still feed, the weather will still be crap in the UK whether or not we're there to see.
