The ending

I prefer the other endings, but just to point out so i don't look like a wally.

WIth the webcam idea, I meant during a live chat, such as on oovoo which was shown in these forums. Not youtube, of course, that would be impossible.

My Idea on an ending in regards to the Australia Scenario

For the final scene we see Ben and Ethan on a boat from what we a lead to believe is bound for Australia, in the last minute or so in the film the boat radio picks up a transmission that says: "The Top priority is the survival of the human race, and as a result the borders to our country are closed at this time all foreign boat and plane landings on Australian soil is prohibited, this is your first and last warning turn back now or we will be authorised to use deadly force"

Before Ben and Ethan can do anything a loud boom noise is heard in the distance followed by a growing loud whistle sound indicating mortar fire, the to run for the railing of the boat and prepare to jump off, as they leap over the railing the whistleing sound reaches its peak and the screen cuts to black, The End

Cliffhanger anyone?

Come on you guys, i mean like cloverfield, like diary of the dead, like shaun of the dead, all of theese titles i have heard of in this whole situaion. I MEAN WHEN THIS PROJECT IS FINISHD THERE WILL BE SOMETHING IT IS GONNA BE REMEBERD FOR BEING CONPLETLY DIFRENT. WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS END IT IN A CONPLETE CLIFHANGER... SO VEWERS WILL HAVE TO DECIDE THE ENDING THEMSELVS AND BE REALY PISSD OFF LOL THEY WONT REALY JUST WANTING TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT, LIKE THEIR SUROUNDED BY ZOMBIES AND THEN SOMEONE SAYS "So.... What do we do now?" And then the screen goes blank and it ends.

IF THAT IS ALREADY PART OF ANOTHER FILM. I HAVE'NT SEEN IT!!!!

So that'll be exactly the same as the ending to The Italian Job. i.e. Probably the most famous cliffhanger (literally) ending in movie history.

ZOMG WTF EPIC LOLZ ROFLMAO CAPS LOCK OMFG ROFL

I thought of a blackly comical romantic ending for the final scene which may be hard to ahem digest for some.... but it's unusual and I'm not sure about it myself so I thought I might throw it out there.

Ben and Abbey are the only ones left but both have been bitten and they are trapped, zombies closing in on them. Ben confesses his love for her and they embrace and kiss for a long time but as they kiss they also turn and instead the kiss turns into biting each other before they are surrounded by more of their kind.

I know this scene doesn't make sense in that zombies don't bite their own but it seemed quite an original end for this genre. If filmed like a straight romantic scene it might work as an ending????

We're still in a bit of a pickle regarding whether we will "vote" for a selective ending or nout... It seems pretty much that we're sticking with the one thats already been done.

Whatever ending works in my opinion in a zombie movie. Not everyone will like the bad endings (zombies win) but everyone will remember it, ominously (if its done right). But whatever the ending, one of the credits should say "(number of zombies killed) zombies were harmed in the making of this film" just to give it a bit of a comical bite, not to mention a death toll for some real blood thirsty fans ^^
