An idea regarding script

one of the things that always bothered me about I Am Legend is that he CURES one of the creatures.

I think it might be interesting to actually CURE one of the zombies and then develoup the story around their guilt and remorse over having killed/eaten friends and family, would the person be able to cope with having done that? would they remember it? what parts would they remember?

it's a dark and creepy twist that hasn't be done to my knowledge

It hasn't been done because another name for zombie is "living dead", implying that they are DEAD. Their bodies are rotting and falling apart. The brain is dead and the heart is static. It would make sense or something like 28 Days Later or I Am Legend where the people aren't dead but altered.

By the way, it BOTHERED you in IAL so you're suggesing it for IZM? Huh?

Let me finish by saying that I think it's a really interesting suggestion, but one that wouldn't work in the context of zombie movies, or at least not this one. It would probably have to be a film of its own. You could say that they managed to restore brain functionality to the person but that his/her body was still decomposing. That would be interesting! ^_^

There was an earlier idea put out a week or two ago suggesting that there is a cure, but it backfires bigtime and makes the Zombies more deadlier than before

As much as the whole moto of this project is "anyone can contribute with their ideas" I think that we should try and work more with what we have now. A first draft of the plot has been written and is open for small changes. Let's try and move forward - we can't keep considering the possibility of maybe changing the story.
