Has anyone seen the latest bbc webisode? Bryony talks about shortlisting auditionees for the roles.
What do people think about this idea?

I would have preferred things to have happened earlier, but it seems a good enough idea.

I'm still wondering about the lack of director.

Hey guys! I haven't been around for a bit. Still thinking up some ideas for the poster. I just checked out the latest webisode and I also agree that it is a good idea, as long as there is no cheating involved with the voting.

One way I've always liked for voting on forums is dropping the auto-polls and instating something like the Euro Song style of voting. Let me explain:

You have Amy, Betty, Claire and Desiree shortlisted for the part of Abbie. Everyone who wishes to be part of the vote ranks all of them by preference and gives them points. The one they like best, they give four points, the one they like least, they give one point. They cannot give the same score to two people. For example:

Betty: 4 points
Claire: 3 points
Amy: 2 points
Desiree: 1 point

Then when the voting period is over, the points for all the "judges" are tallied and the one with the most points wins! Obviously, the points would scale with the number of people. This way, you root out the people who will simply join to click the poll thing, which is a definite possibility when it comes to this sort of thing. If, say, Ben Loka were to say to his subscribers "Hey, I've been shortlisted! Go vote for me!" he'd get a thousand votes and the rest of the actors would get maybe five.
