Re: WHAts YOur FAv Zombie Movie
I love Resident Evil The 3rd one was boring, Dawn of the Dead (remake), 28 Days Later (i think in a way it classes as a zombie movie), I seen a bit of Land of the Dead and i love Shaun of the dead but for some strange reason i can never sleep after i have watched that film. I find more films like Scary movie more scary as the amount of blood they use and how in the first one you see him carry that girls head. I think them movies are more scary.

Least favorite: (tie) Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis and Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave
Favorite: (tie) Shaun of the Dead and the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead
28 Days Later was not a "zombie" film, though it was very good. "Zombies" in cinema are people who have died and come back to life. The people in 28 Days Later were simply infected with the rage virus. The infection didn't kill them, it only turned them into insane killing machines.

Braindead, not as much a classic as any Romero film but this was Peter Jackson at his finest before he went to Middle Earth, the films itself is great, one scene has the hero walking into a room full of zombies with a lawnmower strapped to him and then proceeded to walk into the hordes of zombies, if you haven't seen it i'd recommend it.
My other fave films are Dawn of the Dead both the Original & remake, Land of the Dead is pretty good as well, there is another film but i can't think of it but has a scene that features a zombie fighting a shark, stupid but a classic, Shaun of the dead of course is in there.
I have a few other films i like but there names slip my mind at the moment.

I believe the zombie-fights-shark scene was from the movie "Zombie" or "Zombie 2". Actually, I think they're kinda the same movie.

Re: WHAts YOur FAv Zombie Movie
Backpacking zombies, there's an route that hasn't been taken by any of the films, least i don't think.
xbadxwolfx you sound like my friends who watch horror/scary movies with me & spend some of it hiding behind a cushion or such, then during the night i get a txt saying they can't sleep as there worried something is hiding the dark shadowy corner of their room.
Not sure i've had a nightmare recently, do have some weird dreams but no zombies though, kind of feel i'm missing out on something here.
Thought of somemore of my favourite zombie movies, Evil Dead both parts 1 & 2, the third was ok but not as good as the others.

Never saw Shaun of the dead as a horror but it does have parts of blood & gore bits but i love the film as its a good laugh to watch, thinking of it haven't watched it in a while may stick it on later.
Ok so your not exactly like my friends, no cushion needed when watching a horror film.

Re: WHAts YOur FAv Zombie Movie
I wouldn't say Shaun of the Dead (one of my favourites) is a horror as such... Except that many of my friends with breasts (including my wife) all find it pretty scary at times. What I enjoy about Shaun is that the cast does a really good job and the emotion feels real and some dramatic scenes are simply intense. The comedy is also inventive and laced with a love of the zombie movie genre.
28 Days Later is another of my favourite zombie-like films, though it's almost as far from being a zombie movie as what I Am Legend is. The infected in 28DL are fast and to a degree agile and they DO think, as is evident when they stop running after the car once they realise they can't catch up with it. They're more animals than human, but that's a different discussion.
Braindead, which I saw when I was fourteen, back in the day when there was that guy in the neighbourhood who would have a bunch of "bootleg video tapes" with movies that weren't released in Norway (incidentally the same guy who introduced me to Anime back when we still called all anime films Mangas. Wicked City fucked my brain up.) and it's really iventive, really funny, really crazy and just downright amazing. It was the movie that turned me into a full-blown Peter Jackson fan. I was so happy when I heard he was doing Lord of the Rings, I went around telling everyone about it. "Peter Jackson is doing LotR!!" "Who?" "The guy who did Braindead and Bad Taste!!" "Oh GOD!!! What are they THINKING?!"
I've never actually seen any of the classic "of the Dead" films. Call me a philistine, but I just never even wanted to. I was always happy with the ones I had seen already. I've seen Resident Evil as well, which was entertaining, but not much more than that.

Re: WHAts YOur FAv Zombie Movie
28 days later is a zombie film. They are infected with rage and can run like shit off a shovel but they'll bite you given half a chance, then like dawn follows night, you are a zombie. I would say that the reason they stop running after the car is due to the fact that it goes out of sight, as in out of sight out of mind. if they can't see the car they are no longer angry with the people inside it.
Plot hole. Jim goes out of sight of the infected upstairs in the church but they still go looking for him so they can rip his head off.
ALL Romero Dead films rule.
Planet terror is fantastic. It's like a four cheese pizza with extra cheese and a side order of barbequed cheese.

Re: WHAts YOur FAv Zombie Movie
28 Days Later isn't a zombie film, mate. One, they don't die before coming back to life. Two, there is no two because number one doesn't apply.
