I can say it's not a zombie film, mainly because there's no zombies in it! It's a great film, but it's not a zombie film.

I disagree, how are they not Zombies? How do we know that "Normal" Zombies don't have a different strand of the rage virus. They could still be zombies.

It was the Resident Evil movie released in like 2000 or 2002 that first got me interested in the zombie film industry. Go Milla Jovovich! Anyhow, apart from that there are so many zombie flicks I have seen and love, they are so rewatchable (enter Romero etc.). One movie that I think we could get a lot from is the Zombie Diaries, it was released like a year ago and it takes place in England. It's a low budget zombie movie in that Cloverfield style, it didn't do very well and went straight to dvd but I bought it none the less. If anyone can, I'd suggest buying that just to see how other Brits have done it. Of course we also have the 28 days later franchise to use as a source for ideas as well, it would be zombie flicks that were made in the UK that I would use as a source mostly. However, at the end of the day we want to make something original thats going to bring something else to the table.

mine has to be Dawn of the Dead, 1st one i saw and that really makes it stick in your mind.

Has to been Dawn of the Dead. First horror film I saw and actually felt honest to god dread and this was in the middle of the day.

dawn of the dead. period. oh and i dont get why some people dont consider the "infected" in 28 days later "zombies". i mean, well, they do run, pretty frackin fast at that, but thats what makes them pretty darn scary, more so then in dawn of the dead, where they can literally push the zombies aside LOL. well thats just what i think.

Braindead is the best zombie movie of all time, so many scenes in there that were just pure awesome!

Also Planet Terrer and the Evil Dead movies.

Anyone see Versus??? - Asian Zombie movie. Boyfriend had me watching twice already; it is actually rather good. Looks like it was made in the 80s or something but it's actually quite new. And there's Kung Fu gotta love that in a any film.
I highly recommend it!
